Blog Assignment for ELED INST 1415
I loved looking through Educational blogs. I believe that blogs can be wonderful tools in the classroom. It's a wonderful way for parents and the student to get involved with the class. I found three blogs that really caught my eye.
The first one is http://www.wearesuperkiddos.blogspot.com/
This blog is a show off blog. I love how inviting it is. It shows the creative crafts they have done, as well as having links to the classes favorite websites, information on the class pet, and my favorite part is that it has a link for parent resources. Parents often times get overwhelmed and don't know the best way to help their student. This is a great resource for everyone.
The second one I really liked was http://www.themiddlematters.blogspot.com/
This one was a blog that reached across the world. They learned to blog themselves and they have blog pals. Its like a pen pal but on blogs. I thought it was great because they ask questions to those far from them and the other school blogs back. I think that this is a great way to learn of others cultures and lifestyles. This blog also gives problems for students to answer. It is another way to help children receive extra practice.
My last cite is http://petras2.edublogs.org/
This blog looks like it has recently been started. There wasn't many posts, but what i saw i loved. This teacher had put videos of famous singers talking about how important education is. I think this is great. Many students have singers and actors that are their idols. Seeing their idol saying how important education is, might just be what the child needs to get interested in learning.
